George Jetson works three hours a day and three days a week for his short, tyrannical boss named Mr. Cosmo Spacely, owner of the company Spacely Space Sprockets. The Jetson family live in Skypad Apartments in Orbit City, where all homes and businesses are raised high above the ground on adjustable columns in a style reflective of the architecture of Seattle's Space Needle or the distinct Theme Building of the Los Angeles International Airport. George commutes to work in an aerocar that resembles a flying saucer with a transparent bubble top. Daily life is characterized as being comically leisurely because of the incredible sophistication and number of labor saving devices, which occasionally break down with humorous results. George's work day consists of pressing a single computer button. Despite this, characters often complain of exhausting hard labor and difficulties of living with the remaining inconveniences.
Other Jetson family members include Jane Jetson, the wife and homemaker; teenage daughter Judy and genius preteen son Elroy. Housekeeping is seen to by a robot maid, Rosie.
The family dog Astro can mumble and say his words beginning with R's. Astro's catch phrases are "Ruh-roh!" and "Right, Reorge!" or "Rats Rall Right Reorge!"



The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones (1987)




Fred Flintstone and George Jetson have some things in common: They have back breaking jobs and families to support, but they soon find out a little more about one another one peculiar day when George Jetson's son Elroy builds a time machine, the family thinks it a joke but agrees to try it out anyway. It was built to take them further into the future, but instead (thanks to Astro) they get sent back to Prehistorica Days. Back to the town of Bedrock. On vacation, Fred and Wilma Flintstone, Barney and Betty Rubble, meet the Jetsons and think them to be beings from another universe. Fred passes George off as his cousin and all goes well, until the time machine accidentally transports the Flintstones into the future, so while the Flintstones and Rubbles adjust to a space-age, robotic, automatic life, the Jetsons have to adjust to a rocky, stony, pedal car, no-shoe, no picture-phone, no-Mr. Spacely stone-age life. Meanwhile, Henry Orbit and Rosie have built a new time machine and Rosie goes off to find the Jetsons, she meets Robin Hood and many other famous faces. Will the Jetsons ever see their space city again? Will the Flintstones ever see Bedrock again? Will Fred keep his job with Mr. Spacely? Will Barney keep his job with Mr. Cogswell? Could be! Maybe so, maybe no.

Rockin' With Judy Jetson (1988)




A hip rock star has stolen Judy Jetson's heart, so she joins two of her girl friends at his concert, following close behind her is George, who's turned his hair into a Mohawk. But an evil witch who hates music has kidnapped the rock star, so Judy and her friends go off to rescue him and George get's thrown in jail. Elroy and Astro come to the rescue, but are stuck with a difficult question - who do they save first? George or Judy? Even Jane, Rosie and Mr. Spacely are along for the fun as the teenage adolescent Jetson daughter goes to heroic heights to battle the evil witch and join her rock star companion and possibly perform on stage with him.

Jetsons: The Movie (1990)




George Jetson gets a job offer: he can run his own sprocket factory. However, the factory is on some distant planet and he's not the first employee from Spacely Sprockets inc. to be sent to the factory. It turns out that the plant is sabotaged because it affects the caves underneath. How does George satisfy his boss and stops the plant from destroying the land of the creatures living below the factory?
